Dermaplaning is a wonderful and safe treatment that gently exfoliates your face, removing dead skin and vellus facial hair, better known as Peach Fuzz, using a medical-grade scalpel. Dermaplaning will leave your skin feeling smoother, softer and revitalised.
While the term scalpel can sound daunting, don’t let it cloud your judgement of this procedure. At Rehab Beauty, the treatment is carried out by a senior therapist with two years of dermaplaning experience.
At our West Bridgford beauty salon, we now offer an express dermaplaning facial and a luxury Decleor dermaplaning facial for you to choose from.

How Dermaplaning Works
A fine medical Scalpel is used to exfoliate the dead skin on the upper layer of your skin. The results of dermaplaning can last up to 3 weeks. The vellus hair on your face will not come back thicker or darker, and this treatment is suitable for all skin types.
As well as making your skin smooth and glowing, dermaplaning can help smooth the texture of uneven skin, giving you a smoother surface for your make-up application with minimal to no caking in appearance.
One of the most significant benefits of this treatment is greater absorption of face serums and moisturisers. As the dead skin, vellus hair and excess oils have been removed, your daily routine of facial product application will be more effective as they penetrate further into the skin.
