Women in Nottingham living with ongoing low back pain are invited to join a new Jing Method™ Clinical Massage research programme at Rehab Beauty in West Bridgford, starting in July 2026. This is a focused, research‑led course of treatments offered at a heavily discounted rate, designed to ease pain, improve movement, and support your overall wellbeing while helping us better understand how Jing Massage can help with chronic back pain.
Help Your Pain, Help Others
We are looking for women aged 18 and over who have been experiencing non‑specific low back pain for more than three months and who do not have a formal diagnosis explaining their symptoms. This study is specifically for people living with ongoing back pain with no clear medical cause, in which daily activities are affected by stiffness, muscle tension, or reduced flexibility. If your pain is impacting your work, hobbies or sleep and you are still searching for answers, this programme offers a structured, hands‑on approach in a supportive environment.
You may be suitable if you:
- Are a woman aged 18+
- Have had low back pain for longer than 3 months
- Do not have a formal diagnosis explaining your back pain
- Experience muscle stiffness, tension or reduced flexibility
Participation is completely voluntary; your information will be kept confidential and anonymised, and you are free to withdraw at any point without giving a reason.
What Does The Programme Involve?
The Jing Method™ is an advanced, outcome‑focused style of clinical massage that aims to reduce pain, release tension and restore movement, rather than simply offering relaxation. During the study, you will follow a clear 16‑week pathway that combines hands‑on treatment, assessment and self‑care so we can build a detailed picture of how your symptoms change over time.
As a participant, you will receive:
- An initial phone consultation to discuss your pain, medical history and goals
- Six weekly Jing Method™ Clinical Massage treatments (45 minutes each) during weeks 7–12
- Additional assessment time during weeks 7 and 12 to review progress
- Simple self‑care exercises to support your recovery at home (around three times per week)
- Short weekly questionnaires over 16 weeks to track changes in pain, movement and wellbeing
We understand that living with persistent back pain can feel overwhelming and isolating. This programme is designed to offer structure, support and professional guidance, so you are not trying to manage your symptoms alone.

What Can You Expect?
Everybody is different, so we cannot promise specific results, but many people receiving Jing Method™ Clinical Massage for non‑specific low back pain report meaningful improvements in how they feel and move in daily life.
Potential benefits may include:
- Reduced pain and discomfort in the lower back
- Improved flexibility and ease of movement
- Better overall wellbeing, sleep and mood
- Alongside your treatments, you will be encouraged to build simple, sustainable self‑care habits tailored to your lifestyle, helping you stay active and engaged in your own recovery between sessions.
About The Research Study
This programme forms part of a BTEC Level 6 qualification in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage with the Jing Institute of Massage and Complementary Medicine. The aim is to evaluate the effects of the Jing Method™ of Clinical Massage on non‑specific low back pain using a structured, real‑world treatment plan.
Because this is a formal research study, we are able to offer the full programme at a significantly reduced rate:
- £150 upfront – includes all 6 treatments plus assessments
- Limited to 15 participants to ensure individual attention and continuity of care
- Start date: July 2026
All sessions will take place at Rehab Beauty, West Bridgford, in a calm, professional environment where your comfort and safety are always the priority. Risks are minimal, and your therapist will discuss any relevant health conditions with you before you begin so that treatments can be tailored appropriately.
