What to Expect During Your Dermaplaning Treatment
- Cleansing – Your therapist will begin by thoroughly cleansing your face and gently patting it dry to prepare your skin for treatment.
- Treatment – Using a fine medical scalpel, your therapist will hold your skin taut and make quick, controlled strokes across its surface to exfoliate the dead skin cells on the upper layer and remove vellus hairs. This simple and painless procedure helps to improve skin tone and texture, leaving your complexion smoother and brighter. The results of dermaplaning can last for up to three weeks, and the vellus hair on your face will not grow back thicker or darker. This treatment is suitable for all skin types.
- Moisturise – Once the dermaplaning treatment is complete, a nourishing moisturiser or serum will be applied to hydrate and protect your freshly exfoliated skin.
- Healing – Immediately after the procedure, your skin may appear brighter, though some mild redness can occur and typically settles within 2–3 days.
- Aftercare – To maintain results, avoid direct sunlight for a few days after treatment, and wait about 3–4 weeks before booking your next session.
